Tory Environmentalist Zac Goldsmith appeared in public with his wife for the first time since reports sprung up questioning his involvement with socialite Alice Rothschild.
Goldsmith, editor for The Ecologist and his wife Sheherezade arrived at a charity poker event held in London Monday, September 25, holding hands.
The Goldsmiths arrived in the same car as actor Hugh Grant and his fiance Jemima Khan. Sheherezade looked put together in a demure long sleeve gray dress.
The press hounded the couple in light of the controversy surrounding them, however they remained mum and gave no comment as they entered the exclusive members club Fifty located in St. James where the charity poker event was being held.
Zac Goldsmith was recently caught on camera leaving the home of Rothschild, who is his brother's sister in law. It had been previously reported that he has been spending long hours at her home. A spokesman for Zac has refused to comment on reports about his involvement with the blonde socialite.
Other celebrities were present at the poker charity event such as Sting and his wife Trudie Styler, football player Teddy Sheringhan and Tom Parker Bowles. Players for the event had to pay 10,000 UK Pounds to be able to participate. Cricketer Shane Warne and Mr. Goldsmith were the hosts for the evening.
